I strongly oppose the proposed development of 20 5new homes in New Eltham and have significant concerns about building on Metropolitan Open Land, with the destruction of the protected Green Chain Land and mature trees. This site currently offers local residents valuable open-air facilities for leisure, recreation, and sports, making the proposal ill-suited for New Eltham. The neighbourhood's infrastructure and services are already under significant strain. Should this development proceed, it would likely increase New Eltham's population by at least 500 residents. This raises concerns about where additional healthcare providers, educational institutions, and traffic and transport management solutions will come from to accommodate such a substantial influx into the existing community.The plan will destroy local nature with disruptive construction, impacting the entire community.
