I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed construction of 205 flats on the land located directly behind my property.
This proposal raises several serious concerns which I believe would have a detrimental effect on the surrounding area and residents:

The number of dwellings being proposed is far too high for the available land and is inconsistent with the residential character of the neighbourhood. This level of development appears excessive and unsympathetic to the existing community.
Loss of Privacy and Amenity
The new buildings will overlook neighbouring gardens and homes, significantly reducing our privacy and impacting our enjoyment of our properties. This is particularly troubling given the height and proximity of the planned structures.
Increased Congestion and Parking Pressure
Adding 205 new homes will result in a substantial rise in local traffic. The surrounding roads are already under pressure, and further congestion could become a serious safety and quality-of-life issue. The development also risks creating parking shortages, as the number of spaces may not match the demand.
Pressure on Public Services
Local facilities, including schools, healthcare providers, and transport networks, are already stretched. Accommodating several hundred new residents would place additional strain on services that are barely coping as it is.
Environmental Concerns
The site includes valuable green space and mature trees which serve as a habitat for local wildlife and offer an important buffer for noise and pollution. This proposal threatens to destroy these features, with little regard for environmental consequences.
Construction-Related Disruption
The building phase alone is likely to cause significant inconvenience to nearby residents due to prolonged noise, heavy vehicle movement, dust, and disruption to normal daily life.
