I lived in a residence facing the STC sports ground for over twenty years in a house in which my father still lives. The sports ground provides a valuable, well-utilised green space in the middle of what is already a built-up suburban area. Losing this green space to a large-scale build would have a massive negative impact on New Eltham as a whole - affecting the fitness and well-being of the sports people who use it, along with causing substantial disruption to many neighbouring houses through noise and traffic pollution.
