This green area is a vital area to thousands of people, who play sports, thrive from the confidence the boxing club provides, allows a busy part of south London to breathe and give nature space. There are other green areas in the area, but they all serve a different purpose to different people and nature with different needs. 205 houses, in a location that has limited trains (for London), limited pubs and restaurants, shops and social facilities will only increase pressure on tired services, potential increased crime taking advantage of strained policing and really only serves the people making a quick buck selling the houses. Greenwich Council need to take action and improve the area through careful planning, blocking non-contributing shops such as vape shops and putting heavy pressure on landlords that leave their premises empty (commercial and residential). Then we can talk about new developments.
