I strongly object to the development at STC Sports Club for a number of reasons.
1. The site is Metropolitan Open Land which will be completely destroyed by this proposal
2. The plans include the building of flats which will be overlooking the current houses and will ruin the privacy which they currently have
3. I have lived on Green Lane for many years and we all know that the road is extremely busy, with many not sticking to the speed limit. In the last few months alone I have witnessed two accidents outside of my house. To have the site entrance on Green Lane would be an accident waiting to happen. With 205 houses on the development, the additional traffic which would arise from this will be horrendous
4. The number of residents on the development will put an even bigger strain on doctors, dentists, schools etc. It is already hard enough to get a doctors appointment as it is and being a commuter in to London, the trains are already packed, even at 7 in the morning. How is our infrastructure going to cope with all the additional residents on the site. With 205 homes, with most likely families as occupants, there could potentially be nearly 1,000 extra residents in New Eltham
5. Loss of property value for those of us currently in the area who will be affected by the proposal
6. Disruption and endangerment to wildlife.
7. Loss of the site as a sports ground which will be a huge loss to the number of football teams and other sport enthusiasts who use it on a regular basis
8. A development this large will take years. That will be years of noise and pollution!!
