I strongly object to the proposed development of 205 homes on the STC Sports Ground in Eltham. This site is designated Metropolitan Open Land and part of the South East London Green Chain—both of which should be protected from development except in exceptional circumstances, which this project does not meet.
STC is a popular, well-used sports and community venue that generates regular income and serves as a point of interest for the local area and beyond. The development would destroy valuable green space, remove mature trees, harm biodiversity, and bring years of disruption. A £4M borough-wide contribution cannot justify the permanent loss of this vital site.
