I am writing to formally object to the proposed development of flats on the land located directly behind my property at SE9 2AN.
While I understand the need for additional housing, I have serious concerns about the negative impact this specific proposal would have on the immediate area and my quality of life. My objections are as follows:
- Loss of Privacy: The proposed flats will directly overlook my home and garden, significantly reducing the privacy that I and my family currently enjoy.
- Increased Traffic and Parking Issues: Additional dwellings will inevitably lead to an increase in local traffic and pressure on already limited parking availability, which is a serious concern for safety and congestion.
- Overdevelopment: The scale and density of the proposed flats are out of character with the surrounding properties, which are primarily single-family homes. This development would change the residential character of the area.
- Noise and Disturbance: The increase in residents, vehicles, and construction activity will bring a marked rise in noise levels, affecting the peaceful nature of our neighbourhood.
- Environmental and Wildlife Impact: The green space behind my home currently provides a natural habitat for local wildlife. Its development would result in a significant loss of biodiversity.
For these reasons, I respectfully request that the planning application be reconsidered and ultimately refused. I would appreciate being kept informed about the progress of this proposal and any future public meetings regarding the matter.
Thank you for your attention.
Yours sincerely,
Lourenco
