I object to the proposed development of the STC centre as per the details on this website.
Additionally, I wish to point out that the proposal doesn’t take into consideration the December 2024 updated NPPF highlighting a number of substantial features to Green Belt policy, which would I’m supposing includes MOL policy.
The updated policy lists one criteria as being that development includes local and national infra structure. This is not defined in the proposal, and locally there would be a huge knock on effect at the already hugely congested Fiveways junction.
- a second criteria is that any such change of land usage should contribute to the local community or recreational facilities for the wider community (the features in the plans are not expansive enough to allow for this)
- finally the proposal doesn’t offer anything from an educational point of view, and current nursery places, both state and private are hard to come by in the area.
Finally, the plot would be very overcrowded with the intention to build 205 houses.
